FIRST CRIMEAN "PEACE FORUM"
1 October 2014. Crimea, Yalta, Livadia Palace
We understand that Crimea now needs public support: the people of the Republic must be supported in their choice and in their right to self-determination.
During the Peace Forum we shall discuss questions of peaceful cooperation and fruitful cultural exchange.
- The Forum will bring together representatives of Russian and Crimean authorities, representatives of public organisations, figures of culture, and representatives of the business community. The Forum will be attended by world-famous “stars” who support the people of Crimea in their choice, in their right to self-determination.
- Today, for the Republic of Crimea (in its new status), public support is of the utmost importance; a constructive public dialogue must be built.
- At the forum, questions of the sustainable development of the territory, of peaceful cooperation and of cultural exchange will be discussed. Public and political figures will support the citizens of Crimea in their choice and in their striving toward a peaceful and prosperous future.
- The principal tasks of the Forum are not political, but public support for Crimea and for its citizens in their new status.
The main aim of the forum is to support Crimea in its striving toward peace and well-being. And also to unite activists of public organisations, figures of culture, and representatives of Russian and Crimean authorities. We would like to honour these people of world renown at Livadia Palace, whose walls witnessed great peacemaking decisions — all those who prove not by words but by deeds that today peace and prosperity on our land (and throughout the world) are possible!
At the Peace Forum a very important event will take place — the signing of the “Memorandum of Peace” and the honouring of distinguished legendary people of Crimea, among whom are:
- Elizarov V. A. (Director of the Sevastopol Academic Russian Drama Theatre named after A. V. Lunacharsky),
- Krasilnikov A. V. (founder of the football club “Sevastopol”),
- Oganesyan V. A. (Head of the Department of Education of Sevastopol),
- Chaly A. M. (Head of the Agency for Strategic Development of Sevastopol),
- Troitskaya N. V. (editor of “Slava Sevastopolya”),
- Dekusheva L. V. (Director of Livadia Palace),
- Bakharev A. G. (Acting Minister of Health of Crimea),
- Menyailo S. I. (Acting Governor of the city of Sevastopol)
- Zaldostanov A. S. (founder of the biker club “Night Wolves”),
- Gavrilenko M. N. (chairman of the Sevastopol city association of search organisations “Dolg”),
- Burtsev A. N. (Director of the Sevastopol Children’s Art School),
- Bendyukova N. A. (Director of the Sevastopol Art Museum named after M. P. Kroshitsky).
