A CULTURAL AND SOCIAL PROJECT FOR RESIDENTS OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
Within the cultural and social programme "Family Values," the Peacemaker Foundation presents an original social project:
"SOLEMN ON-SITE WEDDING REGISTRATION AT LIVADIA PALACE".
We feel a deep respect for the cultural and historical heritage of Crimea, for this land is the hearth of many of the most ancient civilisations.
In recent times there has been a tendency among young people (the most active stratum of the population) to ignore the high cultural values of society. Taking into account the fact that the future preservation of the heritage of civilisations lies in the hands of the young generation, we have realised how important it is, right now, to draw the attention of young people to the true riches of the peninsula.
The cultural and historical heritage of Crimea is rich and diverse; it opens unlimited opportunities for the upbringing and development of the younger generation. Livadia Palace is the favourite residence of the family of Emperor Nicholas II in the south of Russia and in Crimea. Here, in Livadia, love grew and strengthened between the Heir to the Russian Throne and the Princess of Hesse, between Nicky and Alix. Here passed the happy days and months in the life of the imperial family, in which tender love and family friendship reigned. These family relations may serve as a model even today.
Our project “Solemn on-site wedding registration at Livadia Palace” gives every young person of the Russian Federation the opportunity to become part of world history and culture. Living through one of the most important moments of their lives, the newlyweds and their guests will find themselves not in an ordinary state institution — a registry office (ZAGS) — but in the pearl of the Southern Coast of Crimea, at Livadia Palace. This event will without doubt enrich their lives and instil love and respect for the cultural and historical values of our Motherland.
The project will develop wedding tourism in Crimea, attract a flow of guests from every corner of the Russian Federation, and allow them to feel themselves part of history and of world civilisation.
We consider it our duty to strengthen respect for the culture and traditions of Crimea, and to raise the younger generation’s sense of responsibility for preserving the cultural and historical traditions of Crimea and of Russia.
PART OF THE FUNDS RAISED FROM THE SOLEMN WEDDING REGISTRATIONS WILL BE DIRECTED TO THE FOUNDATION FOR SUPPORT, DEVELOPMENT AND PROMOTION OF PEACE IDEAS "PEACEMAKER" AND WILL GO TOWARD THE RESTORATION OF THE REPUBLIC OF CRIMEA.
